BMW alleging my leased vehicle was never turned in after receiving bankruptcy discharge!?
I recently received a discharge from chapter 7 bankruptcy and BMW keeps calling me claiming my car lease was never turned in. I surrendered the vehicle back in November but I never got a receipt. I just drove the car up to the same dealership where I leased it from and parked it in front of the service department put the keys in the drop box and walked away. The dealership even called me the next day and confirmed they had the car. Now almost three months later after I've been discharged from my bankruptcy someone from BMW financial services keeps calling me asking me where the car is. They have even threatened to have me arrested if the car is not located. I told them the car was turned in a couple of months ago to the dealership. They called the dealership and they claim the car was never turned in. Can they legally pin this on me even though my bankruptcy has been discharged.

My bankruptcy Ch. 7 was just discharged a couple weeks ago. Last week my credit score jumped 22 points, though it's still considered 'very poor'. When should I start trying to establish my credit again? I was thinking when I do, it'll just be with a secured credit card. I've read that they're beneficial for trying to establish credit. Also, I'm not working anymore so I don't know if that'll make it harder for my score to go up or not? What are some steps I can take and when should I start? I know it will be a long time before I can get it to where I want it to be, if I can do that at all.

Two years ago, I declared bankruptcy amidst 20,000 dollars in debt. During the process, I was given a list of the debt that would be expunged. To my knowledge, all debt that wasn't a student loan would be taken care of.Yesterday I received an e mail from my former college, who I'd recently requested transcripts from, stating that the transcripts could not be released because I owed them an outstanding balance from 2008. I was a little surprised because I'd never received a bill, and while attending, all of my tuition was covered by student loans. They claim that due to my leaving mid semester the funds were returned to my lender, making me responsible for almost $800, but still I had never received any kind of notification. I'm most confused because I had requested transcripts from this school two years ago, and I was given then with no mention of a debt being owed. They claimed I " got lucky" . My question is, would this debt be classified as " discharge able" in terms of my bankruptcy claim? Any help you guys could give would be great as I've had no luck searching the internet and the school and my attorney are unavailable until Monday. Thanks in advance

...how can a mortgage company file a relief of stay motion and continue not to speak to a client??? They are telling us to talk to our bankruptcy attorney but we have not had one in 2 years because we are OUT OF bankruptcy. Is this happening to anyone else?
