I am trying to collect info on filling bankruptcy for an LLC just oppened 7 months ago and have been able to keep upfloat until now but no longer have the funds to pay the high rent, business loans or even employee payroll. What options do I have? Will a bankruptcy for an LLC kill my personal credit? Am I correct that personal belongings such as my home are safe? I heard that the laws in NJ are " not so generous" ... what can I expect?

When should I file business bankruptcy?
Hey guys. I just started a new business a couple of months ago and am finding out that I was not financially prepared for it. I am undercapitalized. Therefore, I probably only have a good 4 months left until I can't pay my rent and other bills anymore. Also, even if I were able to receive funding somewhere else, I no longer believe that the business is a good one. Should I file for business bankruptcy now? I borrowed $120,000 on an SBA loan that I want to discharge from bankruptcy. I would appreciate any opinions that people might have. I just don't see a point to stay in this business to go into even deeper debt when I know it's just going to get worse.
Is it illegal to request a phone number that was deactivated do to business bankruptcy?
I asked my phone company to give an account with a number that had been used buy a competitor that was going through bankruptcy. The phone company gave me the phone number I requested. He says that the number was owned jointly by his company and the bankruptcy court. Have I violated any laws? Is this criminal theft, or could he have a viable civil case against me simply for requesting a phone number that was " disconnected or no longer in use." Even if he has a case against the phone company does he have a case against me? If the phone company takes the line from me do I have a case against them?

I am an owner operator of an Inc. trucking company I had to sign a personal guarantee on the truck I purchased. High fuel costs & low rates are forcing me out of business. I will have to give back the truck in 3 4 months if things don't improve. What are my options? If I have to turn in my truck and cannot afford to pay the difference will filing bankruptcy alleviate that problem? Also what if I can pay the difference will my credit rating still suffer. Where can I find detail on business bankruptcy filings?
Specifically in Wake County, North Carolina, I'm trying to find a free site that lists the detail of business bankruptcy filings, petitions, the parties involved, dates, etc., etc. Any ideas on this? There certainly is a plethora of sites that try to rope you in for a monthly fee, but I know that this is all publicly available information, just can't find it. I have found the official BK site for NC nceb.uscourts.gov , but it doesn't have detail.Allow me to clarify... We're not looking to file, but rather get info on other companies that are filing... Any thoughts?
What is better choice file business bankruptcy or take loan and put all credit card in one payment ?!?
I am in trucking business for 3 years. I was doing well until last year.I was living from check to check to make this business work.This year it is much wors. I used company credit cards. I am like 50 000 in debt and there is no more chance I can make those money in this business. I was thinking about take all those credit card and make that on loan and make payment, but I am not sure I will be able to pay that and those companies ofering this loans there is for sure some hiden fees and lot more.....I also thought about business bankcruptcy. I am only owner of trucking corporation. And If I file for bancruptcy will that damage my personal credit ?

I am going chapter 7 for my buisness that i had 10 years. My cousin is opening the same type of shop in the area. I want to give him my phone number , so he can have my customers. I am not reopening another shop. Can he take over the phone number.

My husband and I co own a business with my parents and are no longer able to pay our outstanding bills. We are trying to decide if we should close our doors or declare business bankruptcy. The business is set up as an s corp. What is my best option, what will we be liable for and how will it affect us personally?
