Anyone had luck with a credit card consolidation company?? Have u really eliminated your debt....?
I'm talkin about these companies u hear on TV radio that 'claim' they can negotiate your balances and cut your debt up to half..and have you completely out of debt in a few years? What if any companies have u found that have actually done this??? help thanks

What does credit card consolidation do to your credit?
I see these ads where they can reduce your debt and payments by up to 60 %.what would this do to your credit rating? is it for real? How does it work?

OK, let me add a few details...My credit is still good and I pay my bills on time. I also agree that I would NEVER do a home equity loan either, exactly for the reason one person said. I also live in Texas , which is a debter state. Credit cards are a unsecured loan, and in this state they can not garnish your wages or put you in jail for credit card debt. I'm not really even interested in " getting my debt cut in 1 2" or anything like that, just make it one payment a month, rather than 6 or whatever credit cards I pay every month. I wasn't aware that those offers will ruin your credit either. I know it's my fault I'm in the debt I am, and just trying to figure out how to pay my debts and not ruin my credit a bit easier.

Who is the best credit card consolidation company? I was looking at care one. Anyone have experience w/ them?
well, my total credit card charges a month is about $350 between my wife and I I can't even make the minimum payments on all of them. I thought about just paying one or two a month a little extra, but then the others would grow and grow in interest and late fees.

I do not know how to look for a reputable cred card consolidation company. There are too many scams out there.

Credit card consolidation?
I have about $6,000 in credit card debt not much but its the pain in the but to keep up with the payments. I'm trying to figure out what to do and im tired of paying just the minimum payments to them. Im basically just throwing my money down the drain, sucks when they sucker you in when your young and then you ask them to see if they can lower the interest rates and they say they cant, but as soon as your late they call you non stop its stupid and im just done with it. So basically i just need advice to what to do. I thought about getting a part time job but i cant because of what i do and having a 16 month old is too much.

Credit card consolidation...bad on credit?
My credit score has dropped 20 points I think due to my balance on my credit cards being almost maxed. I had a 720 and now its down to a 700 and I am medium risk. I was wanting to go to a consolidation loan office but also heard that can be negative on your score. So then I was thinking a personal loan but I have NO collateral. I rent my apartment and lease my car. I have successfully paid off a full car loan in my name 2 years ago and I paid it off earlier then expected. I just want to know what options are best for me. I dont want to do anything to hurt my credit score even more and I also dont want to go into a loan office asking for 8000$ with no collateral and get laughed at. Any ideas?

Credit card consolidation...what are my options?
I have a personal loan, plus 2 credit card payments. My husband also has 2 credit cards. I'm so sick of paying hundreds in credit card loan payments each month without making any ground. What are our options in consolidating these payments? I talked to a credit counselor over the phone, and he said they could consolidate them, but they'd have to close all the accounts. Wouldn't this hurt my credit? Surprisingly, I have good credit right now. But what are my other options?
