Do debt reduction services make you file bankruptcy?
I'm in about $4,000 in debt and was considering a debt reduction service. I heard that you have to file for bankruptcy to complete them. Is this true and what all is required to follow through and complete a reduction service. Is it worth it?

Shall I apply to those debt reduction services for my cc debt of 20k? I am never late for a payment.?
20 k in cc debt. never late for a payment and no derogatory items in my report. but i have 6 cc's and everything I am paying is going to interest and my debt doesn't go down. my credit score is very low around 630 even thogh my payment history is perfect. Shall I apply to those services where they negotiate your debt with the cc companies? I heard that doing that also reduces your credit score. What is the best way to get rid of this debt as quick as possible?

How much can a "debt reduction service" affect my credit?
Im not past due on any payment and current on all bills. But Im considering getting help because the interest rate have increased and credit limits reduced. I owe about 20,000.

I was talking w a woman with a debt reduction company and she calculated my debts and pay offs and interest rates I'm paying now and states w that company I could have my debts paid off in about half the time w a much lower interest rate than what I'm paying now w one monthly payment. My question is, are they bad on your credit? I mean would this be worth it or does it show up as terrible on your credit..? Any advice?
